What is a podcast?

A podcast is a multimedia file made available over the Internet for download and playback on your computer, smart phone or mp3 player. Once downloaded, this file can be played anytime without an Internet connection. When you subscribe to a podcast, you can have episodes downloaded for you automatically by iTunes or similar software.

What is iTunes?

iTunes is a program that manages, organizes and plays audio and video files. iTunes will "sync" your mp3 player or smart phone, so that you can take your files with you to be played anytime, or it can play the files right on your computer without an mp3 player at all.
