The Favor of God
We hear a lot today from various preachers about the favor of God. I'm all for the favor of God and I desperately want it and need it on my life. But, we often fail to hear what is needed to experience God's favor, God's smile and hand of blessing. It doesn't come if we are openly living in pride, rebellion, selfishness and immorality, treating God as if He is some genie in a bottle who comes to us to do our will. Favor comes to those who are walking humbly and obediently with God. Psalm 147:11 says, "The LORD favors those who fear Him, those who wait for His lovingkindness." Fearing God in practical terms means you give Him His rightful place as Master in your life ... and you take your rightful place as servant. Hey, it's there where you'll find real hope.
